Bend it 

Bodytree Studio

Pilates is known for helping condition muscles, curb back pain and scult and tone bodies to perfection. Whether you practice or you’ve been thinking about giving it a go, here’s your chance to learn more. Intro to Reformer, taking place on 7th and 8th February, is a four-hour workshop (two hours each day) designed to teach you the 5 Basic Principles of Pilates. You’ll also be lead through a series of exercises on the Reformer using the different pieces of the apparatus and learning how to set it up as you go. By the end of this workshop you’ll know enough to join group classes with confidence.

Qasr Al Watan
Head to Qasr Al Watan this weekend and explore this incredible landmark. Take a peek into Arab heritage and the governing principles that shaped the history of the United Arab Emirates and its vision to the future. More than just a palace, it is an enriching interactive journey in a contemporary setting that reveals and reflects on governance, knowledge and craftsmanship. You’re going to work up an appetitite with all that epxloring so afterwards drop by Dhiyafat Qasr al Watan  and tuck into a selection of light meals and sharing dishes overlooking the Palace courtyard or Legma in the Visitor Center and main Palace exit which offers a selection of light snacks and beverages. And don’t forget the awesome Palace in Motion light show as the day descends into night.

Lebanon’s diva

Magida El Roumi

The headline act for Abu Dhabi Classics will be Lebanese exceptional voice, Magida El Roumi. Known for her beautiful, crystal-clear voice and extraordinary vocal range, El Roumi will bring Abu Dhabi Classics to a spectacular close. Magida released her first single Am Behlamak (I’m dreaming of you, Lebanon) at just 13 years old. Since then, over the past 40 years she has produced dozens of hit records in a variety of styles, from Classical Arabic music to modern Arab pop.

Valentine’s Day Charity Flea Market Abu Dhabi

Celebrate Valentine’s Day by working towards the greater good – and declutter too. Donate and discover pre-loved items at the Valentine’s Day Charity Flea Market. There will be plenty of fun for the whole family with snacks, drinks and a kids’ corner. All proceeds from table sales go to Al Jalila Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through medical research, education and treatment in the UAE.

Go wildlife spotting
Abu Dhabi weekends Mangroves

It’s finally opened and you can get to experience it. Head to Jubail Island and take a stroll through the mangroves. There are three pathways to explore with the longest being 2km. There’s even a floating platform where you can get up close viewing marine life.  There’s a kids play area and information centre too.
