Mangrove Walk finally opens to the public

Mangrove Walk on Al Jubail Island opened on 26th January and it’s sublime!

The winding Qurum Walkway, by Modon properties, transverse the one million-square-metre area filled with mangroves.

Open to visitors from 8am to 6.30pm daily, including a coffee shop and washrooms, the boardwalk has three routes of which the longest is two kilometres and the shortest is 1km.

Visitors will be able to see wildlife including birds, fish and crabs and rangers are on hand to provide more information about the park and its flora and fauna.

There are also six educational sections onsite, including a floating platform with a see-through net to catch a glimpse of the marine life underfoot, a viewing tower and a beach platform.

Jubail Mangrove Park aims to enhance the capital’s ecotourism and sustainability efforts, and highlight the importance of erosion-preventing mangroves to the environment.
