Abu Abi bus shelters are about to reopen, guidelines will be in place
This is great news for bus users among us. No longer will you have to stand in the scorching heat waiting for your bus.
A total of 145 bus shelters will reopen their doors from today, Sunday, 6th September, the Integrated Transport Centre – Abu Dhabi (ITC) tweeted. This follows the recent announcement to resume all public bus services and operations in Abu Dhabi.
The move foces on areas with a high demand of passengers and includes 114 bus shelters in the City of Abu Dhabi, 21 in Al Ain and 10 in Al Dhafra region.

Precautionary measures will be in place and include:
• No more than three passengers waiting inside the bus shelter
• Face masks to be worn at all times
• Maintaining physical distance of 2 meters inside as well as outside the shelter
• All bus shelters and service facilities to be fully sterilised twice a day
Also recently, ITC announced that some bus services will now offer free wi-fi.
