You can still enjoy these Abu Dhabi cultural hotspots
We’re all stuck at home (for our own good, of course) but that doesn’t mean we have to miss out. You can still get to see those cultural landmarks again, virtually at least.
An new initiative called ‘CulturAll’ by The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT -Abu Dhabi) means you can log on and see dynamic content from Manarat Al Saadiyat, Qasr Al Hosn, Berklee Abu Dhabi, Cultural Foundation and Abu Dhabi Art.
Get to view the city’s great museums, cultural centres and even the emirate’s landscapes all from the comfort of your armchair.
Cultural venues and experts will be producing content across a range of themes, including traditional crafts and practices, contemporary art, historic sites, and music.
So how can you get to view all of this?
Head over to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and follow ‘Abu Dhabi Culture’, it’s that simple.
“DCT Abu Dhabi is committed to promoting and disseminating culture to the widest possible audiences. We have created ‘CulturAll’ as a way for those in Abu Dhabi, the wider UAE, and indeed across the globe to continue to learn, engage and expand horizons when it is not physically possible to visit sites,” said His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman, DCT Abu Dhabi.
‘CulturAll’ content will be curated under three themes:
#CultureAllCreate will see guidelines, demos, tutorials, and instructions provided for audiences online to engage with the initiative by creating and sharing their own content.
#CultureAllExplore asks audiences to explore and discover via video footage, recordings, and published materials related to DCT Abu Dhabi’s many cultural events – concerts, talks, exhibitions, festivals, conferences, etc.
#CultureAllMeet is an opportunity to learn about various ideas and concepts from the experts that DCT Abu Dhabi works with from around the world, featuring sessions with artists, historians, gallerists, architects and more.
