E-learning to continue till June
Distance learning for all public and private schools and higher education institutions will carry on till the end of the academic year.
This decision by the Ministry of Education is a part of the UAE Cabinet directive to ensure that the learning continues “…while maintaining the security and safety of our pupils and the school community.”
The ministry is also working on a strategy for end of the year assessments.
Academic institutions were initially closed in March to limit the spread of COVID-19 but were scheduled to open by 5th April. However, students and staff will have to continue delivering classes remotely through digital platforms till further announcements are made.
